Proms are such a big part of a high school student’s life but they are also so expensive! The Prom Closet, which is run by the Rotary Club of Peoria North, helps offset some of these expenses. Each spring, this non profit gives away hundreds of prom dresses and other prom related clothing items from Glendale’s Care Campus. The Prom Closet makes shoes, handbags, and men’s attire available to the teens too. This year, the Prom Closet giveaway will be held mid-March this year.
Right now though, they need donated formal wear!
If you have any formal clothing, shoes, or accessories that a teen could use for their prom, consider donating it to the Rotary Club and their Prom Closet. The more donations they receive, the more teens they can serve. Their objective is to help teens feel special and beautiful because that builds self confidence.
So take a look in your closet, see if there are any gently used items you’d be able to contribute, and then take them to one of their many collection sites. There are drop off locations in Glendale, Goodyear, Surprise, and Peoria in addition to Phoenix so it’s convenient no matter where you live or work.
