Just in time for the start of school, there are two libraries that are moving to bigger and more modern locations.
Litchfield Park Library opened on Aug. 3 in their new location at 5390 N Litchfield Rd, Litchfield Park, AZ 85340. It’s 10,000 square feet and ready to serve the community in ways the older historic library could not. Be sure to go check it out! (The former address was on Wigwam so make sure your maps app does not direct you there.)
Teens 14-18 are invited to be part of Litchfield Park Library’s Teen Leadership Club. Interviews for this volunteer position are being held Sept. 9th and 23rd.
Surprise, meanwhile, has a new Hollyhock Branch Library opening on Aug. 28th as part of the upgraded Surprise Community & Resource Center at 12641 W. Santa Fe Drive. In preparation for the move, the current, soon to be old, library location will be closed from Aug. 20th to the 27th. During this closure, head to the main library in Surprise instead.
Hollyhock Library hosts Lego times, storytimes and more so once they’ve moved to their new location be sure to participate in their programs. While you are there, explore the other services and opportunities the Surprise Community & Resource Center offers.
Happy reading, growing, and learning at these new libraries!
